Let's be honest. Brady's stats was good but not outstanding because Tampa had a huge lead. 4th quarter was Tampa just burning the clock. Tom Brady could throw 500 yards and 5 TDs if that was what was needed to win.

If you could give a squad MVP, it would be the squad. As an individual award, it’s Brady as most MVP goes to the quarterback in other situations, too.

Brady was the best choice. His stats were not gaudy but they don't give the Lombardi for stats. Brady could have had more passing yardage but the best plan is to run the ball. At a certain point, your opponent is not the other team it is the clock. Ask Atlanta how staying aggressive works out in The Super Bowl.

Defense played excellent, but the offense was ready to go into shootout mode at any time. Brady played as well as he needed to. There was no need for heroics this time round.

If King had his way there would have been no season. Someone call him on it.

I think the same thing happened in the Pro Bowl with the overall great talent this team has. I got a feeling next year Tampa’s roster won’t get so slept on next year like it did this year though.

Plus people aren't talking about Bradys unselfish play in the 4th quarter. He knew he wasn't the run away SB MVP at that point. He could have tried throwing the ball all around the lot and scoring points but he knew that wasn't the best way to secure a win. Up 31 to 9 going into the 4th with your defense playing as well as they were you don't do anything that will risk causing a turnover and changing the momentum of the game. You burn clock and play ball control and that's what he did. His money quarter in every SB has been the 4th quarter and he basically benched himself for the betterment of the team. He deserved that SB MVP.

@Don Solo you mean that 3rd down bomb to AB? Look at the ball placement. Brady didn't put up a jump ball to AB, he made sure that the only person on the field that could make a play on the ball was AB. It was too long but if AB couldn't get there he got the next best outcome, an incompletion.

@Don Solo No he was not. Bombs are the safest way to throw with a lead. He overthrew them so there wouldn't be a chance for a pick and even if there was it would be so far down the field Tampa's defense would force plenty of time from the clock. If the reciever is wide open and is able to make the catch than great. If not punt it to chew clock. Imagine an errant throw close to your red zone. If that gets picked the Chiefs would have had a small comeback chance.

@Myco Right. Brady was waiting to see if Mahomes and the impressive Chiefs offense was going to get off life support. His defense made sure that didn't happen so Brady made the correct team play and tried his best to chew clock. Brady and his offense were ready to try to get to 40 if needed, but it wasn't needed.

This and the offense was ready to go into shootout point at anytime. Brady also missed atleast 2 tds. One to the olinemen not getting the catxh and the other when Jensen snapped it over his head.

I'm good with Brady winning it but I thought Gronk could have easily got it. Defensively the only man you could have given it to was Todd Bowles and he isn't a player.
